Always Has . . . Always Will
This was the last song to make the album. Mainly because it was the last song to be written!
A day or two before one of my studio sessions our church had a guest speaker in for a Thursday evening service. This song was basically his sermon. (Yep, I was inspired - Thanks, Kurt!) It just ministered to me so much to be reminded that in a world where constant change is the rule, God does not change.
There have been many instances in my life where I've been told to get with the times. I've been called a prude and old-fashioned. Maybe in some ways I am. However, God does not change. The heart of His Word has not wavered one bit. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Hebrews 13:8 (NIV) There are times when I must reject the changes of this world and stay true to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
When you are tempted by the world to conform, may you take comfort in knowing that the Almighty has not changed for thousands of years and He'll still be the same for the next several hundred thousand!
And I've found that God who has always been holy will always be holy
God who has always been righteous will always be right
And God who has always shown mercy will always be merciful
God who always shown love will always love you.
