Heart of a Child . . .
When I think of children, I think of innocence,
smiles, love, laughter . . .
In 1995 when I was at the Annual Conference of the East Ohio United Methodist Church at Lakeside, Ohio, I went to hear the Thursday afternoon devotions. I had no idea how blessed I would be. They have Bible school at Annual Conference for children in grade school, and on Thursday each year, these children bring the devotions for the Conference delegates. They sang songs of salvation, love and Jesus. In the midst of a time when adults were busy discussing issues and social principles with very little mentioned about scripture and salvation, these children were a breathe of fresh air. They reminded me of what God really thought was important for me. . . just being His child.
My prayer is that this song will remind us how much God loves us and wants us to come to Him as His child. How long has it been since you chatted with your Father? Not just spoke to Him, but had a back and forth dialogue? You are His precious child and He's waiting for you to come to Him for a hug.

The little one that we each used to be.

children we once were?
Are they still hiding deep inside of you and me?"
