Let It Rain

Hebrews 6:7-8 says "Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed receives the blessing of God. But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless and is in danger of being cursed. In the end it will be burned."

We've all seen that ground that is hard and dry and cracked.  When the rain comes the water just rolls off because it's too hard and dry to soak up the precipitation.  In the fall of 2001, I read this scripture from Hebrews and knew that it was meant for me.  I realized that I could choose to drink in the blessings and wisdom that Christ was pouring out on me and use it to produce a harvest from Christ or I could be that hard dry ground.   I could either soak and share the blessings of God or let them roll off.

I choose to drink in every bit of "rain" that God sends . . . Won't you?
