Everything you find on this website, all of the links above, every concert or speaking engagement finds its purpose in this page. Lynne's passion, her "chazown," is helping others find their full potential in Jesus Christ. The first step is making Jesus your personal Savior. In that Lynne finds life, joy, peace and purpose. She hopes something you've read here inspires you to walk with Christ, too. And just in case you're wondering how it's done, here are the simple steps:
Step 1 - We must admit that we are sinners and that we do things that separate us from God. We must also admit that there is nothing we can do to mend that relationship ourselves.
Romans 3:10 & 23 says: "There is no one righteous, not even one . . . For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. (NIV)
Step 2 - We have to understand that God loves us, He created us and wants to have a relationship with us. He loved us so much that He sent Jesus to die for us. (Do you know anyone else who loves you enough to die for you?!)
Romans 5:8: "God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
Step 3 - After you have recognized that you are a sinner, you need to realize that death and separation from God are sin's rewards.
Romans 6:23: For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord
Step 4 - Pray a prayer accepting the gift of Jesus. Salvation is a gift, but you have to accept it. You have to believe that Jesus loved you enough to die for you and that His sacrifice on the cross was enough to cover all of your sins no matter how big or small! It's important that you actually tell someone else that you've made this decision.
Romans 10:9-10: If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord" and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved [from sin and death]. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
Here's a prayer to get you started. It's not the only way to pray. And the exact words don't really matter. But in case you feel as though you need some help . . . Here you are.
Dear Jesus, I finally realize that I am a sinner in need of a Savior. I know that you love me and you died on the cross for me so that my sins might be forgiven. Please forgive me for (now share some of your sins with Jesus to show your sincerity). Thank you for giving your life for mine. Thank you for raising from the dead so I could have a new life. Please be with me always, control my life, lead me and help me live my life for you. In Jesus name, AMEN
It might sound too simple, but if you meant that prayer from deep inside your heart, you are a guaranteed child of God and there are angels throwing a party in heaven right now for you! Please be sure to contact me when you've made your decision. I have a gift I want to give you, plus it's important that you find a church to celebrate with regularly. I'll be happy to help you find someplace if necessary.
